Description :
Solid benzoin is 119-53-9. It is also known as alpha-hydroxybenzyl phenyl ketone, 2-hydroxy-1,2-diphenylethanone, and 2-hydroxy-2-phenylacetophenone. It is used in the fragrance, flavour, fragrance and aroma industries as well as the chemical, pharmaceutical and soap and detergent industries. Container should be stored with the lid tightly closed in a dry, well-ventilated area. Opened containers need to be carefully resealed and kept upright to avoid leaks. Save in a cool location.
Benzoin and Diethyl Isonitrosomalonate: Benzoin can be used in combination with diethyl isonitrosomalonate in a synthetic pathway, potentially forming novel intermediates or compounds with both aromatic and reactive properties for further chemical or pharmaceutical applications.
